This summer the International Association for Language Learning Technology (IALL) held its biennial Conference in Victoria, British Columbia along with its sister organization, the Learning Lab Association of Japan (LLJ.)

The FLEAT3 program was crammed with useful workshops and sessions. Workshops covered HTML Basics, Javascript and Web design; Libra and Claris authoring systems; lab design and management; schMOOze University: Virtual Community, real language and learning; how to create a digital audio lab; statistical programs for educational research; approaches to marking electronic text and Web Whiz Bangs (tips on adding Flash to your pages.)

Our own Wendy Baker Davis was presented with an IALL award for Outstanding Young Leader, one of two given in honor of the late Robert Henderson and the late Marie Shepard. Congratulations to Wendy!

The Proceedings for FLEAT3 will be available shortly. Look for an announcement on LLTI coming up. Or check out the FLEAT3 Web Site at U Vic.
